Renault Type EF
More information about the model Renault Type EF
The Renault Type EF was a deluxe and upmarket touring car which characterized the car of the tail end of the Belle Epoque.
Signs distinctive of its style were its bonnet, elongated to include and even more powerful engine, and lovingly finished coachwork. Equipped with a constant-level carburetor, HT magneto ignition with rotating armature and a gearbox with four forward gears, the EF also benefitted from dampers on its underslung chassis.
It is worthy of note that as Europe stood on the brink of the Great War, Renault was turning out 700 vehicles every month - some 10% of national production - making it France's leading manufacturer.
