Making dreams a reality
The dream of driving a rally car on the road became a possibility even for novices, one that would generate great interest in the sport, making each ride a rally.
Jean Rédélé, driver and designer behind the Alpine brand, created this legendary model, combining a light-weight design and performance in a simple, balanced silhouette. The model would undergo several modifications over the years, including changes to the headlights, wing extensions to accommodate larger wheel rims, improved sealing, and more.
Ready to drive?
Drivers couldn’t care less about comfort, space or silence. Its roaring engine generating speeds of up to 200 km/h and its incredible road-holding on any surface (asphalt, dirt, snow) left a lasting impression on generations of drivers. Its numerous wins earned Alpine Renault the World Rally Championship title in 1973.
