We take a look back at the 46th edition of the Retromobile Show, which came to a close on 20 March.
Over 100,000 visitors
The 2021 edition was cancelled due to the global pandemic. However, over 100,000 visitors came to Paris Expo Porte de Versailles for this Retromobile 2022 reunion edition, which for a change was held in Halls 7.2 and 7.3.
The Renault booth, ideally located in the heart of pavilion 7.3, pulled in the crowds over the five days open to the public. Many visitors also attended the preview evening.
A milestone anniversary
What a blast! There was something for every taste and in all colours. No fewer than twelve Renault 5 historic cars were exhibited on the booth.
Even a guest star was in attendance: Renault 5 Prototype that prefigures the future Renault 5 announced for 2024. For the first time, this model was able to meet the audience of a French show.
Were you unable to make it to Retromobile? We haven’t forgotten you. Watch this drone footage of our booth and discover all of our exhibited cars.
Let’s talk about Renault 5
Why are we celebrating the anniversary of Renault 5? What makes Renault 5 such a success? How has Renault 5 revolutionised automotive communication? Does the new design go back to its roots or is it a leap forward?
No doubt you are asking yourself all of these questions. We asked Arnaud Belloni, Global Marketing Director of the Renault Brand, Gilles Vidal, Director of Renault Design, and Hugues Portron, Director of Renault Classic, to give you some insight. See what they have to say in this video.
Save the date
The Retromobile Show will be back in 2023, from 1 to 5 February, at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, returning to Halls 1, 2 and 3.
As for the anniversary of the dashing Renault 5, we will continue celebrating throughout the year with several other events. We look forward to seeing you at the Classic Days (30 April and 1 May in Le Mans), the Le Mans Classic (30 June to 3 July also in Le Mans), the Circuit des Remparts in Angoulême (16 to 18 September), Losange Passion International (1 October in Montlhéry) or Epoqu’Auto in Lyon at the beginning of November.
